If I HAD watched this movie in 2008 it would have been my favorite hands down. I watched this tonight and it was an incredible movie. Oh, and my man, James McAvoy, well might I just say that he has it going on! He is H-O-T! Let’s see, he can do romantic, he can do the Sci-Fi Narnia stuff and now he can do action flick and keep up with Angelina Jolie. He is awesome and he looked great. AND, say what you will about her, but she did a great job in this film too.
I’m not usually one for all the blood, guts, and gore, but if you just get into the storyline and the plot, it’s really good. Heck, half of it could so never happen so you just have to go with it, but dang this was just an awesome movie. Morgan Freeman does a good job as always. He does pretty good playing the bad guy.
One thing, if you’ve seen it, didn’t expect the train scene - that was a surprise to let that happen to so many people! I was sort of shocked by that scene! Almost too much killing for me, but nonetheless, the movie just rocked.
Great action flick if you are into this kind of thing so if you haven’t seen it like me, check it out.

This movie is precious, that is just the word that I would use. It takes you all of 1 minute to fall in love with Wall*E. He is too cute.
It’s a light-hearted, sweet, funny, love story and it’s funny enough to hold the interest of kids Noah’s age too. Ava is cute too and the adventure that they take on is great!
It is a great family movie and I think everyone would like it on some level. I would watch it again if it was on, it’s just that kind of movie. I can see why everyone was talking about it when it came out.
Cute as can be!

Wow, as Noah says, “I didn’t see that coming!”
From the previews you get the impression this is a funny, light-hearted kind of movie. OK - NOT. This has a very, serious tone to it and it’s also very violent for kids if you ask me.
Plus the twist in the middle is pretty cool too, although I did figure it out before it happened, but it was still a pretty good twist. This was over all a pretty decent flick.
Will Smith delivers as always with sarcasm, humor and emotions. Charlize Theron is always a great actress and of course I love Jason Bateman. It was a really good cast over all and I would recommend it if you have seen it yet, however again it’s not really for kids to me. It’s quite violent and it’s pretty heavy.
Decent on the romance part too!

This is a cute movie for kids and it has the usual humor for adults that the little ones may not get.
Noah doesn’t seem to like it all that well, but he is into action movies these days. If things don’t blow up or there are no monsters, we aren’t watching it. I got it for him, but he didn’t seem to care. I finished it since I was doing things around the house and I thought it was really cute.
Patrick Warburton is one of the monkeys so you can’t go wrong there. Ever since Seinfeld I have loved this man and he is just too funny. His monkey, of course, if full of one-liners and good jokes.
Good family movie for the kids on a weekend!

I like Adam Sandler, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes his movies are just a little over-the-top stupid for me. I think I’m more into his romantic comedy movies.
This one is right there in the “little too stupid” category for me. Don’t get me wrong, Adam is as funny as ever and so are his usual cast of friends, but the storyline is just silly.
If you are a huge Adam fan, this is right up his alley and very typical of his type of movie. He is very buff in this movie, he worked out quite a bit and I have to admit he looks really good, but other than that, I don’t have much else to say.
It’s silly, it’s Adam and I’ve watched it.

I’m not sure why I rented this movie, more than likely because it starred Tom Hanks. It isn’t really my type of movie. Needless to say, it wasn’t after I watched it either.
That being said, it was still a good movie if this WAS your type of movie. Very educational and it gave you a lot of information. Tom Hanks did a superb job as always and I really like Seymour Hoffman who played the CIA agent who assisted Tom’s character is helping defeat the Russians. I have seen him in quite a few movies over the past few months and I like him more and more.
Julia Roberts did an OK job, her role from what I can tell after I researched her character was played out well and she did look like her to a certain degree. She was quite beautiful in this movie, but she just didn’t catch my attention as she usually does.
If you like war history, this is a great movie to watch, I will give you that and the biggest thing out of it; as always the US was the last to react. It took a civilian to get the job done - go figure! Anyone else surprised by that one?
Again, if you like history, I recommend you rent this one, if not you can pass!

I had been wanting to rent this movie, as they say it was Vince Vaughn’s coming out movie.
It was a pretty good movie, but again it was one of those “guy movies” in my opinion. Definitely not a chick flick by any means. I also like Jon Favreau who plays the main character who is coming off of a break up (which he initiated the break up, but isn’t handling it very well) and his friends try to help him cope.
They show the life of 4-5 guys living the life in LA and trying to become actors and it shows how they struggle. Jon’s character thinks he wants his girlfriend back, but eventually he learns that he can let go after he finally meets a better girl.
Vince Vaughn is pretty funny and I can see how he got noticed in this film. It’s classic Vince and he is over the top considering this was his first big movie. His theory on dating and women is hilarious.
It’s a pretty good movie, but not great. It’s worth watching if you’ve heard about it, like these guys and want to check them out.

I’m a Paul Rudd fan so that is why I rented this older movie. I didn’t realize Reese Witherspoon was in it. This was one of those movies you can put in while you are doing some other things around the house. I was “Christmas cleaning” and I still watched it.
It was a romantic comedy about a guy that writes a nasty letter to his girlfriend and sends it overnight delivery because he thinks she cheated; turns out she really didn’t cheat. He trys to drive cross country to beat the Overnight guy and get the letter before it is delivered and Reese Witherspoon’s character helps him. Of course, they are opposites and a love interest soon begins to develop between them.
It’s a cute flick, but nothing over the top great. Again, something to fill up the TV if you are doing things in a room around the house!

Is everybody ready for James Bond? Oh yeah, he’s back and I can’t hardly wait to see this man on the big screen again.
I remember the first movie, aaaahhh what a great night…just hanging out with my friends and I didn’t even want to be there and then all of a sudden there he was up on the screen and I said to myself, “Who is this new man?” Midway through I thought to myself, “I like this man?” Then he put on the tuxedo and it was all over for me. I had found a new meaning to the words, “My name is Bond, James Bond.” Wholly Crap, I was in love!
Well anyway, the wait is over and I will be going to see this new movie to become one of many that support the new James Bond mania! I hope you will go see it too, I mean come on, it’s just an action packed, intense movie that everyone should support! ha ha.
Get ready Jacob, we have a film to check out!

This movie (I think) is a complete guy kind of movie, but that being said, it was still and OK movie to watch. I didn’t realize it was based off of a Marvel comic. Can we have any more comics or super hero movies? Please!
Nicholas Cage just makes some bizarre movies, but he does manage to pull this one off. I’m not a fan of Eva Mendez, his female co-star so the love story didn’t do much for me. Sam Elliot is in the movie and I do adore me some Sam! His voice is just one of the sexiest voices in Hollywood!
Sideline: I thought Sam Elliot was a lot older, but after reading his bio he is only 64 years old. He has been around forever and his voice is on several commercials. He is married to Katherine Ross who starred in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Anyway, this movie was good with comedy, action and a little romance. It is truly a guy type movie but I did enjoy the humor. It was cool to see Peter Fonda back in action as the Devil. He looked good and did an awesome job as the Man in Red!
