I have to tell ya, Anderson Cooper makes me want to know about current events! He is right there in Israel, in the midst of the attack on Gaza and before he was there I couldn’t have told you the first thing about the place, but see now I know so much!
Seriously, I am amazed at the lengths this country is going to in order to try and fight back at Israel troops. They have built tunnels underneath their city, land mines and all sorts of bombs to fight off the Israels, but I’m not sure it will be enough to hold them off. I am truly amazed at how some of the foreign countries fight and I do thank God each and every day that it stays on foreign soil.
These people with the bombing and the tanks and the land mines just amaze me. I can’t imagine my city just blown up in the middle of the day with innocent people and children just terrorized for no reason. We need to realize each day how fortunate we truly are in the US.
I joke about Anderson, but he is over there giving us the updates and for that I do pay attention and learn more than I normally would from most!

There is a couple that lives in Hunterdon County, NJ and they have named their child Adolf Hitler Campbell. They tried to order him a birthday cake just recently from a local Wal-Mart and the store refused to put his full name on the cake. The couple was shocked??
When asked why they named their son with this “unique” name the response was “No one else will have this name growing up, that’s for sure and we like it.” Are you kidding me?
He also said his ancestors are German and he was raised not to avoid people of other races but not to mix with them socially or romantically. But he said he would try to raise his children differently. This is a great quote: “Say he grows up and hangs out with black people. That’s fine, I don’t really care,” he said. “That’s his choice.”
Yeah, how is that for a classy quote for the papers? Nice huh? And you wonder how they came up with the name? It takes all kinds I guess doesn’t it?

So, this reporter decides to throw a show, no wait two shoes, at President Bush and it’s the talk of the news.
Anderson Cooper covered it over and over last night. The thing is, they are mystified at the Secret Service because this guy was able to get off not one, both both shoes at throw them at the President before anyone reacted. They showed the video 50 times. They said the Secret Service will have to review the tape to study what they did wrong. The thing is, it was a secure room and who would think about show throwing? Of course if you can throw a shoe, you can throw a weapon, but again, it was a secured room.
They were also just “shocked” that this guy did this? Why? Aren’t we pretty on board that Iraq is about 50/50 with their feelings on Bush. Apparently it’s an insult in Iraq to hurl your shoe at someone or hit someone with your shoe. I may try this at work this week if I get ticked!
You have to wonder if the guy is also a fan of the Dixie Chicks? Maybe he listened to their CD to gear up for the event. ha ha, OK not funny, but still. The President is in Iraq and their was conflict, why is this such an incident or surprise?

The Illinois attorney general filed a motion with the state’s highest court Friday asking justices to strip scandal-plagued Gov. Rod Blagojevich of his powers. The attorney general asked the court for a temporary restraining order or an injunction that prevents Blagojevich from serving as governor. The filing says he is “unable to serve as governor due to disability and should not rightfully continue to hold that office.” “The pervasive nature and severity of these pending charges disable Mr. Blagojevich from making effective decisions on critical, time-sensitive issues,” the filing said. The filing asks that the lieutenant governor assume Blagojevich’s powers.
It is the first time in Illinois history that such an action was taken. The attorney general is applying a rule that was intended to cover cases where a governor is incapacitated for health reasons. Her motion indicates that his inability to serve because of the scandal is akin to a debilitating health issue. The motion essentially declares that Blagojevich’s legal problems amount to a disability that would not be resolved until he is either cleared of the charges or leaves office.
Now, I know when I put political issues out here it just gets crazy, but my question is why doesn’t this guy just give it up? He doesn’t stand a chance at recovering any trust or dignity at this point. It’s over, but yet he is still clawing his way back to the top and saying he is innocent.
Why do people drag these events on and on? They want to impeach him and declare him unfit. He will not survive this, so why does he drag it out? I just don’t get this. Politics just make me crazy. You would have to BE crazy to want to be IN politics. How long must this go on before this guy just gives in?

I’m going shopping after work to help Santa with some of the Stocking Stuffers. You have to go early so the good stuff isn’t pick over. Stockings are essential at Christmas. It’s one of the best parts of Christmas morning and putting the right items in the stocking is even more important.
I can’t imagine not having a Christmas Stocking for Noah or Amanda (or Jerry either) on Christmas morning. It’s just great to see them checking out the items and knowing they like the unique things you have helped Santa find!
I know some people wrap the stocking items and some people leave them unwrapped. I have varied over the years. For the little ones I tend to leave them unwrapped because of the attention span issue. They need to see the items right away. Sometimes I wrap items for the older people if I think it needs to be an extra surprise!
We are famous for filling the stockings WAY too much and having “Stocking Overload”. Yep, we are all guilty of this at our house! Santa would be proud. So, this is my goal tonight to find the perfect Stocking Items and I already have my list ready to go!

Yeah, not so much. Not to me anyway. Hugh Jackman just doesn’t do anything for me; he never has and I suspect he never will. He even has an accent and still - nothing.
I can’t agree with People Magazine this time - blah! I would have to say that I have never liked any of his movies and I’m not a fan. I’m not saying he’s ugly. He is a nice looking man, but sexy? No, not at all. Not to me anyway. I know, to each his own and he isn’t my type at all. Not sure why either, but he has that feminine way about him and I don’t like it. Something just doesn’t click with me and that’s that.
Sorry ladies that love him, he just wouldn’t have been my choice for sexy!

1. Tennessee is still just a powerhouse and I can’t say much else about them!
2. How interesting to have a tie with the Eagles and the Bengals for more reason than one. First of all should the Eagles be tied against the Bengals, I should think not, but that being said a tie is just something so unusual - pretty cool!
3. Pittsburgh against the Charges - It’s nice to know the Charges coach can just whine and pout no matter what the situation is and the bottom line - touch down or no touch down the game was still over and they still lost. For the love of Pete, quit crying, let it go and move on. A loss is a loss…..I’d think you’d be used to it by now. Go Steelers.
4. The Dolphins - how can you not be surprised by this team? They’re just on the field, pulling games out of their helmets and it’s great. Makes me feel like a kid again when I cheered them on - aaahh Dan, remember the days? Can’t say much more except welcome back and I hope it continues.
5. New York smackin’ the Ravens - Well Ray Lewis what can I say, one more game and you looked like crap - I love it personally. That would be two Manning boys that beat your A** this year. And Scene!
6. Green Bay stompin’ Chicago - Ouch!
7. Colts winning, but it’s not like it was impressive - I’ll take it, a win is a win! They are my team, but I just watch week by week to see what they will do next!
Monday night football……………..and so it continues……………

Application to serve
Say what you will about this man, I am convinced he is the right man for the job. This article is great and the fact that he is making people go into so much detail is awesome. It’s sad that in our society you have to ask these type of questions, but can you blame the guy?
I have said from the start to all of those on the “inexperienced” band wagon that this man will make up for it with brains and the individuals he will choose to surround himself with in his cabinet.
Carrie, you just may make a political geek out of me yet, as I find myself drawn to following his plans and how he will decide to run the US. I have already created my own little chart to fill in as he picks his cabinet so I can do my own research and understand their background and experience (geek!).
Say what you will, I believe in this man!
