danceWell  shut up, I’ll be cured and dancin’ in no time.  I gotta tell ya people, I feel great.  I thought this Dr. was joking on Friday afternoon, but he wasn’t.  We reviewed my X-rays and he told me the scoop.  Typical pinched nerve and then of course, I had the neck thing I thought I had.

He mentioned the game plan of 3 days a week for about 6 months and then it would slack off and we would start that day.  It wasn’t so bad (and I didn’t cry), but by the time I got home, #1 I could move my right hip and leg and here is the big think I could turn my neck and look to the left!  Yep I haven’t been able to look all the way to the left for, oh I don’t know, 10 years.  No I’m not lying, this was awesome.

I’m still feeling good today and I slept GREAT on Friday night; no pain and I could sleep in so many positions I have not been able to sleep in for months.  Shut up I just can’t get over how much one, single, adjustment made me feel.  I have to admit, it freaks me out to think about going back Wednesday as the noise was so creepy, but I can make myself do it based on the way I feel this weekend.

He was much better than the last Dr. and I didn’t have to sit straight up and have my neck twisted.  That move alone just freaks me out.  Most of the adjustments were laying down positions and that worked for me.  Who knows, I might just get away from migraines AND pills.  That would thrill me to no end.  Less medicine and less money to Walgreens!

I just can’t get over how much my body snapped up and felt better after one visit.  It is just amazing!

Good deal Empress. I’m glad you are feeling better and the therapy is working on the pinched nerve. Getting these health issues addressed and under control sure makes a person feel really good. I can relate, my sleep study from Thursday night was a success. They diagnosed me with sleep aphneia, and at about 1:30 that night the nurse put we on a CPAP machine, which is basically a portable ventilator which forces pressured oxygen into you air passages.

I slept the rest of the night in deep sleep which apprently I haven’t been doing. I felt so great and attentive the next day. I’m getting my own machine delivered sometime this week. One great side effect is NO MORE SNORING…

I guess it pays to get over that fear and procrastination thing about getting medical help. I know I was in denial about the whole sleep aphneia thing until a really good friend insisted that I get checked out.

Were you just not sleeping or was your snoring actually keeping you awake? Do you have to sleep with a machine every night? Well I hope it helps so you can sleep better. I slept better due to less pain so it was amazing. I still can’t get over how much better I feel. I swear I feel 10 years younger; or actually my age I guess. I can stop feeling old now and get back to my normal life. Just in time for vacation too. I was sort of dreading vacation because I actually felt that bad, but now I can look forward to running at the ocean and taking my morning walks. It’s great.

Actually the snoring is the problem as it was keeping me from getting the sufficient oxygen that the body needs to sustain deep sleep. That’s caused by excess membrane in the sinus and throught and it gets worse with age. When my body relaxes (going to sleep) that membrane relaxes and gets loose and that’s what causes the snoring. The snoring causes me to wake up because my body isn’t getting the oxygen it needs. The machine forces pressurized oxygen into the nasal passage and keeps the flow going so to speak. Thus I stay asleep in the deep stage which my body has been lacking.

The other option is surgury which usually means an extremely painful recovery and it doesn’t always work 100%. So for me the machine is the way to go and yes I’ll use it every night. Fortunately it’s very portable and it’s extremely quite. I have to strap on a mask but it’s a small price to pay. My dad had the same issue and I wish he’d investigated this because I think he would have been a healthier and happier person, and my mom would have slept better too.

I’m glad that the ciropractor is helping you. Good health is so important and feeling good just gives you a whole new lease on life and makes everything better.
