Whether you voted for Obama or not, last nights election was one of history in the making. Watching the election on TV I couldn’t help but feel proud to be an American for so many reasons. It was an incredible night for so many reasons.
I was very proud of John McCain and the manner in which he handled his speech. He level of class will be remembered for years to come. He spoke of backing the new President of the United States for a Country that he loves. I couldn’t agree more. Hopefully with his help more people will listen and it will be a time of change that people can learn to pull together and exist as one.
Do I believe in the changes that Obama speaks of so eloquently? Yes, I truly believe he feels this in his heart. I truly believe he WANTS to make a difference and what he may lack in experience he does have in spirit and in heart. Does that make a man capable? Some say no, but if you don’t back him, his cabinet, his ideas, how will he ever stand a chance?
Again, I for one, feel we witnessed history last night and I was very proud to be a part of the voting process. Not for who won, but that so many voted, so many cared to get involved this time and make their voices heard. I hope they continue to want to be heard and learn to back our new President of the United States. May January 20th be a day of change in a good way.
