Way to climb the ladder girl! The only down side that I can see is having to put up with Jerry every day!  (Just kidding).

Congratulations and may Corporate Success follow you all the way to the top!

Humor me, I still have a slight headache and I’m just in a weird mood!  My last comment to Jacob triggered my thoughts to the Peanut characters, thus this entry popped in to my head.

So, which Peanut character do you relate to the most?  I think I’m more like Lucy than anyone else, no surprise there.  I’m also drawn to the love affair of Lucy and Schroeder, does he really love her?  I wonder????

Anyway, which Peanut character do you relate to the most?  Yes, Pigpen is an option for you untidy people!  ha ha.  He always cracks me up!  Hey Lovie, I bet Linus is a Republican, he just seems the type!  Lucy; definately a democrat - I can feel it!  Peppermint Patty is probably a Liberal, but who knows!

Kari, you could be Violet, she always has to have things perfect and she is pretty!………..you remind me of Violet!  (I don’t mean that rudely either, I’m being sincere my darling niece!).  Cheryl could be the friend of Violets that has the “perfect curly hair” and I can’t find her name right now.  Cheryl reminds me of her because her hair is always perfect!  ha ha.  Just some thoughts!  Anyone know her name?

Just something to ponder oh friends of mine!

I have a headache right so we all know my mood, enough said.  I hadn’t even signed on to my computer this morning and I had some women demanding to speak to a supervisor.  OK, no problem I took the call.  She wouldn’t give any information except her name.

It took her 18 minutes to spew her complaint and bottom line, I really couldn’t help her.  We have company procedures, I can’t change them, such is life and I told her I would move her complaint up to the “Powers that be” and that was that.  Here is the thing though, during our conversation she told me she was “very disenchanted” with our company.  My co-worker indicated although that was very ‘Disney’ of her it wasn’t something we normally hear from a customer.  Disenchanted?  Are you kidding me?  Do you LIVE in a bell tower?  I have to admit it did throw me off.   I felt like Snow White was giving a complaint to our Company.

Later this afternoon I had an agent, who is known for being an ass, tell me he was exuberantly exasperated at our company.  Seriously?  Did you take time to think of that before you called, or were you so mad it just spewed out?  Either way it’s pretty good.  I had to use my mute button to laugh at his choice of words.  That was just a mouth full of mad wasn’t it?

People crack me up when they are angry.  The whole time this guy was looking for a fax number for me he’s mumbling little, smart comments too and it’s not like he knows I can’t hear them, but I sit, in silence just ignoring them.  Finally because he WANTS me to say something he says, “Are you still there?”  I of course, say, “Yes Sir, just waiting on the fax number.”   This of course just angers him more and he yells the fax number at me as if I’m deaf.  I say thank you in my most pleasant voice and hang up with a “Have a very nice day.”  It’s just too easy sometimes.

Angry people just make me laugh!

Kind of a weird weekend in football for me!

Surprises: Buffalo losing to Miami - I thought for sure that Buffalo would pull this one off, but they didn’t.

Heartbreaker:  Houston over Cincinnati - these poor boys are just killing me.  35-6 is just brutal and I don’t see a win in sight for these guys.  My heart goes out to the Bengals!

How sweet it is:  Saints over Charges - Chargers are like, “Hey, don’t we know this Brees guy!”  Ha ha, that had to feel good for Drew taking one home for the boys and away from his old team!  That last interception was awesome.  Good bye Charges, looks like the first two games had nothing to do with bad calls…….

Always confusing me:  Jacksonville - they are the most indecisive team I know.  They play good, they play bad……..I just can’t figure them out.  They can’t seem to get it together long enough to play good each week!

Sucks for me:  New York Jets over Kansas City - we all know why don’t we!

Heartbreaker but enjoyed the game:  New York over Pittsburgh - I of course, pulled for the Steelers, but this was a good game to watch.  A lot of hype on this game, Eli or Ben, blah, blah, blah, not sure who cares, but it was a good game.

PS:  Dallas winning really ticked me off too, all the Fox guys kept saying, “Oh they can’t do it, but don’t ever say “never”.  Damn those Cowboys!  ha ha

Monday night Smack down………….yeah right……….can you say dread?  I can’t even imagine what tonight will bring, but who knows we ARE due for a good game!  I’m not even sure I can watch because it might be so horrible!  I could go with the theory, “someone has to beat them it might as well be the Colts.” ha ha, yeah that’s it!

I’m serious, I think my headache has a headache today.  I have to admit, migraines are the worst for me and they make me want to jump off the nearest bridge.  I thought about it on the way to work this morning, but then I figured I would probably live and I would just have a worse headache than I do right now!

I hate coming to work when I have these migraines and no medication to take (no refills until Wednesday,  nice huh), because the lights are horrible, people are just intolerable and all I want to do is just lay down and just off all the lights and die!  Not a good combination for work.  Thus, I just sit at my desk and try to be invisible, but it doesn’t seem to work.

It’s Monday too -  busy, loud, stupid Monday and I just want it to be O-V-E-R!  OK, I’m done complaining and I will go about my day.  I just had to get that over with, but here is the good news.  I have Taco Doritos for lunch, well I do if I ever feel well enough to eat them.  Still loving you Jacob!

Jacob found my Taco Doritos at his store and bought me tons (I haven’t even counted them yet).  When I got home Saturday night he had left them in my garage!  What a pleasant surprise.  I’m officially stocked up in my chip arena and I’m quite happy.

What a great friend and I love him!  He even delivered which just rocks.  Now I can safely relax for a while and have taco chips with my lunches for weeks to come.

This is what being a best friend is all about and this is why I would sacrifice a lot for this man!  You rock Jacob!  He kept a bag for himself and basically said they were OK!  Whatever, we don’t EVER agree on food, but that’s OK, the bag clearly says, “back by popular demand” so he just doesn’t have any taste!

iron man

Now this movie on the other hand kicked butt!  I loved this movie.  Kudos to Robert Downey Jr. for completely carrying this movie and for making a strong comeback from his “issues”.  I adore him and I have since the 80’s.

This movie was great from the second they started playing AC/DC “Back in Black” and ended with his final words, “I am Iron Man.”  I loved it.

Jeff Bridges was awesome as the bad guy and he is just a great actor that has been around forever.  I am sad to hear they aren’t bringing back Terrance Howard as it appeared he did a good job and the chemistry was good between him and Downey.  Not sure what happened there but I guess that’s show business.

This movie was just awesome and I will probably watch it again before I mail it back to Netflix. I’m certainly the last one to enjoy the whole Superhero flicks, but this one was great for me.

war

What can I say about this movie, God love him, John Cusack can star in some great movies and then he can star in some really bizarre movies.  This would just have to fall in the bizarre category.

He’s at hit man and he tends to play the hit man roll a lot I have noticed.  All I can say is that I adore this man and I enjoyed watching him on the screen.  He looks good, he dressed nice and I still love the way he acts, talks and his mannerisms on screen.  Joan Cusack stars with him and as always she cracks me up.

Other than that, I can’t give you anything else and I can’t recommend it to watch.  It jumps around, it doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense and it’s just silly.

Still love this man and I will continue to watch his movies.

OK Lovie and Carrie, you have challenged me to do some political homework.  I went to CNN.com as I felt they have an entire website dedicated to the campaign and yes, I trust Anderson Cooper (please Lovie don’t give me any smack talk about Anderson Cooper!).

Anyway, here is what I have to say honestly after spending a few hours under the “issue” section where the candidates list their thoughts on each issue.  Honestly, they are not that different in their views for most topics.  Iraq seems to be a difference that stands out, but if you read the issues their differences are not that huge.  I won’t say who I agree with in that arena, but I do firmly agree on one particular candidate.  They both seem to agree on how to handle Afganistan.

What boggles my mind is that statement after statement is made that begins with “If elected I will”, or “If elected I will see that” and here is the thing, all the ideas are good, but they can’t make these ideas come to pass without Congress so again, the power lies within Congress.  So much effort is put into listening to these two men talk, debate, argue and in the end they get into office  and so many of their promises, desires and wishes never come to pass.  It’s just speeches to sound good to get them into the White House.   Am I wrong on this?

It just seems like this is such a waste of money and time to go through all of this campaigning and I just don’t believe in all the hoopla to get to this November 4th date.  It’s exhausting when in reality they could easily state their fax on the CNN.com website, the US population could read them and you could cast your vote.  How much money could be saved?

Regardless, I did my homework today and read each issue and I feel better about my choice that I will make on November 4th.  Thank you for challenging me to do so in your comments yesterday!

Now if you will excuse me it’s Friday night and I have War Inc. or Iron Man waiting for me on DVD!  Yes, I know I’m exciting on a Friday night!  Does this make me a Republican or a Democrat?  I’m not sure!  Regardless, my house is quiet and I’m alone……..it’s all good!  :)

Jerry sent me these and I had to share:

Why Trick or Treating is better than Sex:

10.  You are guaranteed to get at least a little something in the sack.

9.  If you get tired, you can wait 10 minutes and go at it again.

8.  The uglier you look, the easier it is for you to get some.

7.  You don’t have to compliment the person who gives you some.

6.  It’s OK when the person you’re with fantisizes you’re someone else, because you are.

5.  Forty years from now you’ll still enjoy candy.

4.  If you don’t like what you get, you can always go next door.

3.  It doesn’t matter if the kids hear you moaning and groaning.

2.  Less guilt the morning after.

1.  You can do the whole neighborhood.
