This is another great schedule for the Jeffersonville Riverfront. They are always offering free concerts and movie nights.  I noticed they had some great movies coming up in July.  The riverfront is really nice and the great thing is that you can pick up take out from King Fish or Buckhead’s and head down there for a nice night with the family.

Also right across the street is a great restaurant; Jimmy’s on the River and it’s pretty good.  You can eat in or grab some carry out.

Just wanted to give yet, more options to you summer, planning people!

I never think to go to the Iroquois Amphitheater, but looking at the schedule they have a couple of good things coming up.  They also have movie night once a month.  Ocean’s 13 is June 7th, but I’ll be on vacation.  I would like to have gone.  Spidey 3 is next in July and I could do that outdoors!

Anyway, just something that I’m sure most of don’t think of and it’s a little different for summer.  Just wanted to put it out there for the ones that might want to try something new this summer.  Some of the plays look pretty good this year and I’m sure the tickets are reasonable.

Give it a try!

Harvey Korman,
1927 - 2008

This man was a legend and his memory will be around for a long time to come.  I was just a kid watching him on the Carol Burnett show, but I can remember laughing so hard it hurt.  The relationship between him and Tim Conway was legendary, second only to maybe Sammy Davis and Jerry Lewis!

His humor as the straight man to Tim’s antics will be remembered as one of the greatest acts of all time. He will be missed by many I’m sure.  My personal, favorite character was from the Soap Opera shown below.  It cracked me up and it always made Carol laugh!

I will miss him very much!

What is it about having vacation scheduled on the calendar that changes your attitude.  It’s like all of a sudden you have a purpose to make it to this point in time!  It’s a goal like no other goal isn’t it?  You flip over that page to June and you have those days marked and you think to yourself, “I can do this, I can work two more weeks at this job, just to get to my vacation destination.”  It just makes life seem worth living doesn’t it?

We are headed to the Ocean, Myrtle Beach and that makes life a little better already.  Hopefully it will at least be a little warmer there than it has been here.  You can’t have a bad time at the ocean can you?  Well, I can’t anyway.  This will be Noah’s first time seeing the ocean so that in itself will be entertaining.  He has already explained that he is NOT getting in the ocean!

All I know is when I flip that page today to head toward June, my days are circled and I have a destination in my head.  I CAN MAKE IT - I REALLY CAN!

Shut up, we went to buy tickets online this morning and it’s completely sold out.  What is up with that?  That is come crazy women buying some crazy tickets.  Men listen up……..you are free tonight to do as you please because every woman in the city will be at the movies tonight!

At this point we are attempting to buy tickets for the Midnight show!  How can I not see it on opening night and technically I won’t be will I?  And they worried this wouldn’t be a hit?  Give me a break.

Update:  We have tickets - 12:30 AM but we have tickets!!  I will probably have to take a nap tonight, but that’s OK isn’t it?

Jacob, this is for you!  Check out this article. They were talking about it on 102.3 this morning. George thinks it’s the real deal and of course Aaron is skeptical as always.  I couldn’t check it out until I got to work of course, and at first I was with George until I looked at the foot.  Check out the foot in the picture, is the figure wearing sandals or not?  Is it a old-time shoe or a sandal………your call!

That is the only strange thing that I saw, but other than that it’s kind of creepy.

Did anybody take this quiz? It was a lot harder than I thought.  I had to really study some of the characters!

Webster defines the following:

STUPID

Main Entry:

1stu·pid

Pronunciation:

\ˈstü-pəd, ˈstyü-\

Function:

adjective

1 a: slow of mind : obtuse b: given to unintelligent decisions or acts : acting in an unintelligent or careless manner c: lacking intelligence or reason : brutish2: dulled in feeling or sensation : torpid <still stupid from the sedative>3: marked by or resulting from unreasoned thinking or acting : senseless <a stupid decision>4 a: lacking interest or point <a stupid event> b: vexatious, exasperating <the stupid car won’t start>

IGNORANT

Main Entry:

ig·no·rant

Pronunciation:

\ˈig-n(ə-)rənt\

Function:

adjective

1 a: destitute of knowledge or education <an ignorant society>; also : lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified <parents ignorant of modern mathematics> b: resulting from or showing lack of knowledge or intelligence <ignorant errors>2: unaware, uninformed

ig·no·rant·ly adverb

ig·no·rant·ness noun

I think it’s important that we should all know the difference between these two words.  If you read them you will see that ignorant people do stupid things.  That is the lesson we can learn today.  Everyone pay attention.  People are ignorant and in turn they do stupid things.  People aren’t stupid.  Things are stupid.

Thank you; this is your lesson for the day.
